The vampiric dungeons are very atmospheric, and contrast to the serene woodlands and quaint villages. It aloso gets a bit zelda-like in places because there are bombs to blow up walls and puzzles to solve, and you can crawl to avoid traps and explore hidden areas. The party auto heals after each battle, so that makes things quicker and easier. I played in the lowest difficulty setting, which is supposed to reduce grinding significently, but I did find myself grinding a few times. The MC's descriptions for items add a bit of extra humour. There is crafting and skill upgrading involved. You can read bookshelves to learn bits and pieces about the lore, but you end up reading the same book in several different places, which is annoying. I think the world building is actually quite good if you don't mind elves, dwarves and vampires which have been done many many times. She's a bit Buffy/Daria with her sarcasm. The MC is a young lady, which makes a nice change, and she has a her own dialogue, which is very amusing at times. It's a very pretty game, the story is not incredibly original, but the characters are charming.
